- Moonlight Beach (near C Street and Moonlight Lane): A state beach in Encinitas, that is located one fifth of a mile beyond the point where Encinitas Boulevard turns into B Street after it crosses Highway 101.
- Leucadia State Beach (near Neptune Avenue and West Leucadia Boulevard): Is a state beach in Encinitas, also known as Beacon’s Beach and is a protected beach of California
- San Elijo State Beach (near San Elijo Avenue and Montgomery Avenue): A California State Beach in San Diego County.
- South Leucadia State Beach. Beacon’s Beach in Encinitas is technically “South Leucadia State Beach” because it is the southern beach access of this state park, but this state-owned and city-run beach has been called Beacon’s for years. The beach here, just like Grandview Beach the north beach in Leucadia State Beach and nearby Stone Steps Beach to the south, is tucked below the bluff where homes and condos are densely packed.
- Grandview Surf Beach is the north beach access point at Leucadia State Beach, a California state park that is run by the city of Encinitas. Grandview Beach is a narrow beach below high bluffs topped with homes and condo buildings that have a “grand view” of the ocean.
- Boneyard Beach is located below a very steep cliff between Swami’s Beach and D Street Beach in Encinitas, CA. Boneyards is a dry sandy beach at medium and low tides and only accessible by walking from the neighboring beaches (easier and safer from the D Street stairway access).
- Cardiff State Beach-North Beach is located at the entrance to San Elijo Lagoon in the Encinitas community of Cardiff-by-the-Sea. This is a day-use facility, but across the lagoon channel is San Elijo State Beach Campground if you wish to camp overnight.
- Cardiff State Beach-Seaside Beach is a sandy beach in Cardiff State Beach at the border between Solana Beach and the Cardiff-by-the-Sea area of Encinitas, CA. Cardiff State Beach is the long sandy strip along the west side of San Elijo Lagoon, a large wetlands and ecological reserve.
- D Street Beach is one block south of Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas, CA. As the name suggests the beach access is at the west end of D Street.
- Encinitas Beach. A beach in Encinitas, if you walk south from Beacon’s Beach or north from Stone Steps Beach in Encinitas you’ll be at an area unofficially called Encinitas Beach. This beach doesn’t have its own access, so it is a great spot if you are looking for seclusion.
- Moonlight State Beach is a state beach in Encinitas, California. It is located one fifth of a mile beyond the point where Encinitas Boulevard turns into B Street after it crosses Highway 101.
- San Elijo State Beach is in Encinitas, near San Diego, by San Elijo Lagoon, adjacent to Cardiff State Beach. The San Elijo State Beach entrance is on the southbound lanes of the 101 near the intersection with Chesterfield Drive.
- Stone Steps Beach is a local beach in Encinitas that is a little off-the-beaten-track. The city has signed it as “Stonesteps Beach Access” (spelled as one word), but most people refer to it as Stone Steps. Walk north and you’ll get to Beacon’s Beach and walk south and you’ll reach Moonlight Beach.
- Swami’s Surf Beach is a famous surfing mecca in Encinitas (at the south end of Encinitas, CA). The park at Swami’s Beach is a great vantage point for watching surfers and has shaded areas to enjoy a picnic as well.
